Beginner jewelry fabrication
Tuesday Sep 13th- Nov 15th from 7-10pm
In this class I will introduce you to all necessary hand tools, hammer, pliers, saw, etc., I will teach you designing, soldering and finishing your first collection of handmade jewelry. Projects will include dangling earrings on a french hook, chain maille, stone setting etc.
Advanced jewelry fabrication
Wednesday Sep 14th- Nov 16th from 1.30-4.30pm
The advanced class student should be comfortable with the use of all hand tools and soldering. I will demonstrate more advanced techniques like intermediate chain maille patterns, fold forming and cold connections, that you can practice and incorporate into your own designs.
Beginning with the summer session, a new “rule” applied to the beginning student class: you have to pay $50 and that includes:
1. the beginner package that I’ll hand out on the first day of class (flux, 4 different solder wires, saw blades, variety of sandpapers)
2. all materials that we use during the first class. Materials will be brass, copper, scrap silver, jump rings, wires, bits and pieces etc.
